Mo’Nique Show Reportedly Canceled by BET

Your Black World reports.

It is being reported that the highly-rated BET Show, “The Mo’nique Show” has been canceled by the network.

Rodney Perry, the sidekick on the show, wouldn’t say much, only stating that  “I was told indefinite hiatus.”

He also told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that “We did some good work,” Perry said. “And I think the show is significant. There hasn’t been an outlet for people of color late night since Arsenio.”

Ratings didn’t seem to be a problem, as the show consistently carried over half a million viewers every night.  But there are conflicting reports regarding whether the cancelation was due to financial concerns or creative differences between Mo’Nique and BET Management.
